
1:1 Pelvic/Core Alignment Assessments & Pelvic Care
Your pelvic floor, core muscles and breathing diaphragm are designed to work together as a coherent unit, responding to pressure change and load demand as needed. When these aspects aren't able to work dynamically due to limitations in mobility, postural/alignment patterns and body changes, the body will compensate and dysfunction may arise or become more pronounced.
Together we can work with where you are at, from the ground up, to create lasting change, equip you with knowledge, body awareness and a toolkit to help you move forward and achieve your goals!
Restore Your Core is a program designed to help you build a strong and reflexive core and pelvic floor through movement and body awareness. These sessions are educational, experiential, and individualized to your goals. The method and exercises are all pelvic floor safe and help heal and reduce symptoms of dysfunction in the core and PF such as:
-uterine/bladder/rectocele prolapse
-incontinence
-low back/back pain & herniated discs
-pedundal nerve issues
-pelvic pain, tension and discomfort
-discomfort during sex
-Diastasis Recti
-hyper tonic, hypo tonic or weak pelvic floor muscles
-digestive issues
-low back pain
The sessions are also designed to help you if you are:
-Recovering from c-section or abdominal surgery (with Dr.'s clearance)
-Lacking sensation in core/pelvic floor
-Postpartum and looking to start exercise again, learning about your new body from the ground up.
-Looking to start building strength at your own pace, from scratch, starting with the foundations of alignment and breath (the most important).
-Looking to rehab a low back injury

What do we do in a 1:1 Assessment Session?
1:1 Assessment sessions help you feel and identify your body's postural, breathing & movement patterns so you can develop increased body awareness and discover patterns that affect your core, pelvic floor and may be contributing to symptoms.
Depending on your needs and goals, in a 1:1 session we will:
-Do an alignment assessment
-Look at your gait
-Assess breathing patterns & Core engagement
-Assess limitations in range of motion
-Learn the 'candles' breath for pelvic floor safe exercise
-Practice corrective exercises
-explore movement,
-Build awareness around your current body patterns and felt sense in various parts of the body.
-leave with a plan!
After your session, you will receive a video or write up with your homework exercises to keep the ball rolling between sessions - consistency is key!
Follow up sessions build upon the initial; we will go over what you discover, dive deeper into re-patterning and build upon the exercises as you get stronger!
Sessions can be in person or remote via ZOOM
When you schedule, you will see the options for remote/in person sessions. If scheduling a remote session, please book 1-2 weeks from today's date.

Pelvic Care Movement & Bodywork Session
A blended session of somatic movement followed by bodywork.
This session is a combination of somatic pelvic mapping, nervous system friendly movement & bodywork focused on the abdomen, pelvis, hip flexors, glutes and low back.
Whether recovering from pregnancy, vaginal birth/c-section, abdominal surgery, prolapse, pelvic floor dysfunction, digestive issues or low back pain - this session is designed to help you rebalance and more fully embody your pelvic bowl.
You'll also be given tips for at home self care.
